Privacy Policy

BookedUp is operated by Parker Davidson, a sole proprietorship based in Millsboro, Delaware ("BookedUp", "we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.

The short version. We collect the minimum needed to book an appointment. We do not sell your information. We do not share phone numbers or text-message consent with anyone for marketing — not with third parties, not with affiliates, not ever.

Who this covers

Two groups of people:

Businesses that use BookedUp to handle their bookings.
Customers of those businesses who call or text the business's phone number and reach BookedUp.

If you texted a salon or restaurant and got a reply from this service, you are in the second group. The business you contacted is the one that holds your relationship; we process information on their behalf.

What we collect

From customers of a business

Your mobile phone number
The content of text messages you send to the business's number, and our replies
The name you give when booking
Appointment details — service, staff member, date and time
Whether a call to the business was answered or missed

We do not ask for and do not want payment card details, dates of birth, government identifiers, or health information. Do not send them by text.

From businesses using the service

Business name, address, phone number and email
Services, prices, staff names and opening hours
Your bookings and calendar entries within BookedUp

How we use it

To answer messages, look up real availability, and make bookings
To send appointment confirmations and reminders
To pass a conversation to a human when the assistant can't help
To keep the service working — diagnosing errors and preventing abuse

We do not use your information to advertise to you, and we do not build marketing profiles.

Text messages and consent

Conversations are started by you. You text or call a business's published number, and the service replies. Message frequency depends on your conversation. Message and data rates may apply.

You can stop at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP. Full details are in our SMS terms.

No sharing of mobile data or consent. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent collected by BookedUp are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.

Who we share with

Only what's needed to run the service:

The business you contacted. They see your booking, your name and your messages — the same as if you'd called and spoken to them.
Our telecoms provider (Telnyx), to actually deliver text messages.
Our AI provider (Anthropic), which generates replies. Message content is processed to produce a response and is not used to train their models.
Our hosting provider, which stores the data.

We will also disclose information if the law requires it. That is the complete list. We have no advertising partners and no data brokers.

How long we keep it

Conversation history is kept for 12 hours of inactivity and then a new conversation starts. Bookings and their contact details are kept for as long as the business uses BookedUp, plus 12 months. Opt-out records are kept indefinitely, because we have to remember not to message you.

Your choices

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from that business.
Email hello@bookedupsys.com to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted.

We'll respond within 30 days. If you are a customer of a business, we may need to check with that business first, since the booking is theirs.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access is limited to what's needed to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise — but we do not store payment details, which removes the most valuable thing an attacker could want.

Children

BookedUp is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If a child has been booked by a parent, we only hold the name on the appointment.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top and notify businesses using the service by email.
